History

NFADA Wholesale Distributors, Inc. began as a cooperative parts and supply warehouse is 1971 when 29 local Automobile Dealers in Western New York invested $2,000.00 each to form a co-op buying group.  Their vision was to further control their overhead expenses through collective buying.

Products stocked ranged from parts and supplies, to equipment and accessories.  Inventory was generated by customer needs and soon sales grew.  Within a few short years, sales expanded as more dealers became members and as time went by, the warehouse began to get requests for service from nearby cities.  In 1988, the warehouse began servicing dealers in upstate New York, the Southern Tier and Northern Pennsylvania.  More than 30 years later, the warehouse serves more than 150 new car franchised dealers in upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania

The first and foremost function of the warehouse is to help its member dealers control their overhead expenses.  In order that all members are treated equally, there is no volume buying discounts.  The warehouse does not use premiums or promotions to gain sales to member dealers, but rather converts premiums to extra profit dollars for all its members.

Ownership is still based on stock purchased or earned by member dealers.  Dividends are earned based on the percentage of gross profit each dealer contributes to the warehouses overall profit.  Dealers who do not own stock accrue dividends each year toward the purchase of warehouse stock  based on the percentage of profit their dealership contributes to the warehouses overall profit.  This is a formula that has not changed since the company’s inception.
